Three guests won't make it that far.

Thirty-seven years of one pool, one steam room, and a family that took men in on sight. Now the papers are signed and the buyer is here, measuring the deck. Everyone came to say goodbye. One of them came to settle it.

Hold Your Breath is a printable murder mystery kit written queer-first, from scratch — not a straight kit with the pronouns swapped. Half wake, half party, and filthy the way a weekend gets filthy when clothing is optional and nobody's opted in. Somebody's in the steam room. Somebody's got a pen on the papers. Somebody's about to be dead. Twenty suspects. Three bodies. One killer — and if you want, you don't find out who until the last hour either.

WHAT YOU GET

38 printable PDFs in 5 folders, instant download

21-page Host Guide — what to print, when to kill, a minute-by-minute timeline, troubleshooting

20 Character Guides — 8 core + 12 optional. Add up to 12 more for a bigger room; they arrive with secrets and motives but nothing load-bearing, so any of them can be cut. Guests get their dossier ahead of time with a costume note, arrive in character, and work each other while you drop three deaths on schedule. Evidence hits the room after each one. Everyone votes, the killer performs his confession, and the awards close the night. Runs about three hours — 8 PM to 11 in the kit's timeline. You can host and play at the same time, and you can stay unspoiled, cast your own vote, and find out with everybody else.

THE DRESS CODE The resort is clothing-optional in the fiction. Your party is whatever your guests are comfortable with. Every costume note is written so a robe over ordinary clothes reads correctly — nobody has to undress to play this. The kit says so twice, so you never have to.

THE PRACTICAL BITS • Instant download — 38 PDFs in 5 numbered folders, with a Start Here page telling you exactly what to open first • US Letter, and A4 prints fine at 100%. Any home printer. Black and white works • No assembly beyond scissors • Print only what your party needs — a smaller cast is fewer pages, and the Host Guide flags what to read on a screen instead • 8 to 20 players, plus you

A NOTE ON CONTENT Adults only, 18+. Murder, betrayal, blackmail, drug references, sexual content, and a house full of men with alibis. The humour is camp, filthy and entirely unembarrassed, and the kit is worse than this page. Nothing punches down and nothing targets your guests. It's written for grown men who can take a joke and pour a drink at the same time.
