It is a cause of death, and the scene has a name for it: Twink Death. So The Deceased has done the punctual thing and thrown his own funeral in advance: wake, eulogy, viewing, reading of the will. The pretty ones came. So did the ones who keep the pretty ones running, and the ones who aged out and lived to gloat. Everyone arrived in black, everyone is behaving beautifully, and one of them is killing the others without knowing it.

Over My Dead Body is a printable murder mystery kit written queer-first, from scratch — not a straight kit with the pronouns swapped. Half funeral, half birthday party. Everyone brought condolences, an appetite, and something they'd rather the will didn't mention. Twenty mourners. Three bodies. One killer who doesn't know it's him, and if you want, you won't know either until the confession.

WHAT YOU GET

37 printable PDFs in 5 folders, instant download

17-page Host Guide — what to print, how to "murder" a player, three hosting styles, a timeline for the night, troubleshooting

Character Overview — a spoiler-free casting guide, so you can cast all twenty without learning who did it

20 Character Guides — 8 core + 12 optional, each in its own file so every guest gets only his own secrets

Host Scripts — read-aloud narration for the opening and all three murders, plus a eulogy that runs exactly one minute

Three evidence stacks, one per death — twenty found objects, a few of them puzzles. Add up to 12 more for a bigger room; each arrives with a secret and an appetite but nothing load-bearing, so any of them can be cut. Guests get their dossier ahead of time, arrive in black, and work each other while you drop three deaths on schedule. This funeral keeps its schedule. Evidence hits the room after each one, and the dead don't sit out: ghosts gossip, haunt, and vote. Everyone votes, you break the seal on the confession, and the awards close the night. Runs about three hours — 8 PM to 11 in the kit's timeline. You can host and play at the same time, and you can stay unspoiled, cast your own vote, and find out with everybody else.

THE DRESS CODE

Funeral black, without exception.
