Lifetime Achievement Gala
A Queer Pop Diva Murder Mystery Party Kit
Every era of her career is in the room. Not all of them leave.
The story
Forty years of reinvention. One gala. Three bodies before the encore.
The Matriarch is celebrating four decades on top, and every era of the empire showed up dressed to kill. Some of them mean it. Behind the couture and the champagne sits a secret project that could replace the legend entirely, and everyone in the room is either protecting the crown or quietly pawning it. Most are doing both.
There are rivals here. Exes. People who slept with each other and each other's rivals in the same week. Everyone has a secret, everyone has a price, and someone at this party is mixing more than cocktails.
Eight to twenty guests. Any gender. Zero pronouns to swap.
Print it, pour something strong, and find out which icon won't make it to the afterparty — and who sent them there.
Twenty roles
Everyone came in costume, holding a drink and a grudge. One of them is holding more.
Every character is gender-flexible, written without fixed pronouns. Any guest, any role.
Cast these first. They carry the mystery.
Echo Encore
the celebration era
Echo stayed in every room after everyone left, and the notebook got all of it.
Vic Virgin
the bridal era
Newest in the house, dressed in white, and wide-eyed on purpose — naivety is a choice.
Disco Dash
the dancefloor era
The life of every party, Disco has an ex in this room and isn't elaborating.
Vega Vogue
the ballroom era
Vega built tonight over years with a collaborator, and one of those nights wasn't work.
Ari Ambition
the power era
Ari built this gala from nothing, chose every glass, and never settles for second best.
Dylan Diamond
the material era
Dylan is wearing enough diamonds tonight that nobody will see what's underneath.
Esther Orbit
the electronica era
Offered money for the light, the name and once the body, Esther always says no.
Vesper Vex
the masked era
Vesper has been wrong about who's sleeping with whom exactly once — never about who knows.
Add them as the guest list grows. A cancellation never breaks the night.
Reign Royale
the arena era
Reign's comeback bought the kind of money that buys silence — twice, so far.
Sage Silken
the dreamer era
First name only, no follow-up, and unfinished history with someone in this room.
Devin Dita
the underground era
Devin circled someone here for ages, stopped circling six months ago, and will say so.
Bowie Blue
the sincerity era
Fifteen years as a best friend's plus-one, and cheerfully open to being upgraded to more.
Sterling Aragon
the theatrical era
Sterling has spent ten years one tier below this room, taking notes the entire time.
Frost Fallon
the glacial era
Frost spent a year becoming someone new, and tonight's crowd is the first real test.
Hollis Hayes
the activist era
Hollis's name is on a debt Hollis never signed, and tonight someone hears the number.
Saint Adore
the rebel era
Twenty years in this house, Saint knows where the bodies are buried — metaphorically speaking.
Noa Regrets
the unapologetic era
Noa would strip on the dancefloor to make an old friend laugh, and has, twice.
Candy Crush
the powerhouse era
Candy was the better body in the room years ago, and still is — ask anyone.
Casey Cross
the gospel era
Casey came back from a long stretch away and says yes like a prayer.
Riley Rodeo
the cowgirl era
Riley watched someone here dance with one person and leave with another — tonight's the night.
The twist
Which means nobody can give it away: no shifty eyes, no bad poker face, no host stuck on the sidelines holding the answer. Everyone plays, you included. The host starts the reveal, then hands the script to the killer, who reads out the rest and confesses to everything in front of everyone who voted wrong.
Take a peek
Real pages from the file. Designed, written and ready to print. You bring the guests and the drinks.
01
The first file you open. A map of every folder, what's inside it, and where to begin. Spoilers get a folder of their own, so you can play in the dark with everyone else.
02
Sent to each guest before the party, one file each, so nobody reads anyone else's secrets. Spill This, Bury This: everyone walks in knowing what to say and what to hide.
03
Dealt out through the night, so nobody's ever standing around with a drink and nothing to do.
04
Print, cut, stick. By the second drink nobody's answering to their real name.
05
Getting murdered doesn't end your night. The dead keep playing, and they've got opinions.
06
Saved for after the confession. The award goes to whoever names both the killer and the motive. Everyone else gets to argue about it.
From invite to confession
Four steps. The kit knows every one of them, so you don't have to.
Before the party
Open Start Here, then read the Host Guide. It walks you through all of it: who to cast first and which Character Guide goes to which guest. Send them out early, so everyone has time to learn the part and pull together a look. Then let the group chat spiral.
On the day
The evidence, the action cards, the ghost cards and the awards, plus the name tags. Print, cut, set the table, chill the wine.
On the night
You read the opening and the murders. After every body drops, new evidence hits the table. Action cards keep everyone scheming, and ghost cards keep the dead in the game.
The finale
Everyone votes on the killer and the motive. You tally the votes and start the reveal, then pass the script to the killer, who reads the rest: the reveal, the confession, and why. Then the awards, and the arguments about the awards.
Your part
The kit runs the night. You set the scene.
Soundtrack
Press play when the first guest knocks, and let it run until the confession.
Dress code
Every guest is a different chapter of her career. Come dressed as your character's era — the more committed the look, the harder you are to suspect.
Every Character Guide comes with a look to steal. Nobody shows up guessing.
Signature cocktail
Champagne over a sugar cube soaked in bitters, finished with a lemon twist. Looks expensive, goes down fast, and there's always another one.
Drop the cube in a flute and soak it in bitters. Top slowly with champagne, finish with the twist. It fizzes for ages. So does she.
Before you accuse anyone
The things hosts ask before they invite anyone.
Not on the list? Email me and I'll answer it myself.
Questions answered? The body's waiting.
Book the next one
Same rules, new body. Every kit plays the same way, so a group that's solved one already knows how to play the next.
Poolside Au Naturel
The clothing-optional resort closes Monday. Three guests won't make it that far.
