A Twink Death
A Gay Twink Death Murder Mystery Party Kit
The Deceased turns thirty tonight. Three mourners won't make it to the reading of the will.
The story
One birthday. One coffin. Thirty is a cause of death.
Ten years ago, The Deceased was the demon twink of this scene, carried out of every club on somebody's shoulders. At midnight he turns thirty. Cause of death: Twink Death. So he's thrown his own funeral: a wake, a eulogy, a viewing of the body, and the reading of the will. The body takes compliments all night. The programme runs on time.
Something else is on the programme.
The mourners are a mess. There's a golden twink who has never once paid for a drink, and the handler who feeds him, fixes him, and never asks the question. There's a poppers twink handing out his own batch like party favours, and a catfish whose best angle is ten years old. Half the room has fucked the other half, and all of them are lying about it.
Eight to twenty mourners. All men. Not one of them sad.
Send the death announcement, pick a veil, and cry pretty. He dies at midnight. Some of his guests can't wait that long.
Twenty roles
Everybody came to say goodbye. Everybody's got a reason to mean it.
Twenty mourners, written for the scene that made them. An all-male cast, by design.
Cast these first. They carry the mystery.
Baby
the golden twink
Thirty going on twenty, he's never paid for a drink or fought for anything.
Sis
the twink handler
Manager, bodyguard and publicist to one golden twink, and the best handler working.
The Deceased
the ex-demon twink
The scene treated thirty like a death, so he threw his own funeral.
Tank
the twunk
The biggest body in every room, with something he swears he'll read aloud tonight.
Doll
the angel
Twenty-four, openly in love with Baby, and he's walked every mourner here home.
Daddy
the money
He skipped twink entirely, opened a tab, and has never once closed it.
Pics
the catfish
A ten-year-old thirst trap still books him everything, so he's never caught candid.
Rush
the poppers twink
Twenty-two, maker of the scene's poppers, and the first one blamed for everything.
Add them as the guest list grows. A cancellation never breaks the night.
Tia
the second opinion
A decade, one client, zero incidents, and tonight he fully intends to win the funeral.
Widow
the merry widow
His twink left for a dental plan, and he's been in full mourning ever since.
Precious
the night off
Free of both warring handlers for one night, he plans to eat the whole buffet.
Father
the collar
Ordained online, collar worn tight, he wrote tonight's eulogy and absolves on request.
DJ
the resident
After a decade behind the decks, he's spending his first night off on the floor.
X
the ex
Half the scene's favourite couple, he vanished ten years ago and flew back expecting gasps.
Plus-One
the plus-one
Nobody's sure whose date he is, but he's read the whole room already.
Moon
the exorcism
The scene's healer, crystals and sage in hand, booked tonight to exorcise a funeral.
Reel
the content
He's filmed the scene for six years, and a living man's funeral is gold.
Constance
the happy ending
He turned thirty, shrugged, left for a garden, and came back tonight to glow.
Ash
the cautionary tale
A demon twink who quit young, he now preaches early retirement to the beautiful.
Fawn
the understudy
Nineteen and new in town, he studied this scene for years before Sis adopted him.
The twist
Which means nobody can give it away: no shifty eyes, no bad poker face, no host stuck on the sidelines holding the answer. Everyone plays, you included. The host starts the reveal, then hands the script to the killer, who reads out the rest and confesses to everything in front of everyone who voted wrong.
Take a peek
Real pages from the file. Designed, written and ready to print. You bring the guests and the drinks.
01
The first file you open. A map of every folder, what's inside it, and where to begin. Spoilers get a folder of their own, so you can play in the dark with everyone else.
02
Sent to each guest before the party, one file each, so nobody reads anyone else's secrets. Spill This, Bury This: everyone walks in knowing what to say and what to hide.
03
Dealt out through the night, so nobody's ever standing around with a drink and nothing to do.
04
Print, cut, stick. By the second drink nobody's answering to their real name.
05
Getting murdered doesn't end your night. The dead keep playing, and they've got opinions.
06
Saved for after the confession. Chief Mourner goes to whoever names both the killer and the motive. Everyone else gets to argue about it.
From invite to confession
Four steps. The kit knows every one of them, so you don't have to.
Before the party
Open Start Here, then read the Host Guide. It walks you through all of it: who to cast first and which Character Guide goes to which guest. Send them out early, so everyone has time to learn the part and pull together a look. Then let the group chat spiral.
On the day
The evidence, the action cards, the ghost cards and the awards, plus the name tags. Print, cut, set the table, chill the wine.
On the night
You read the opening and the murders. After every body drops, new evidence hits the table. Action cards keep everyone scheming, and ghost cards keep the dead in the game.
The finale
Everyone votes on the killer and the motive. You tally the votes and start the reveal, then pass the script to the killer, who reads the rest: the reveal, the confession, and why. Then the awards, and the arguments about the awards.
Your part
The kit runs the night. You set the scene.
Soundtrack
Press play when the first guest knocks, and let it run until the confession.
Dress code
Sheer, mesh, leather, a veil if you've got the nerve. You're mourning a twink — dress like he'd have wanted.
Every Character Guide comes with a look to steal. Nobody shows up guessing.
Signature cocktail
Vodka, espresso and coffee liqueur, shaken hard, three beans on top. Black as the dress code, and it'll keep you up for the reading of the will.
Shake hard with ice until your arm hurts. Double strain into a chilled coupe. Three beans on top: one for the body, one for the will, one for whoever's next.
Before you accuse anyone
The things hosts ask before they invite anyone.
Not on the list? Email me and I'll answer it myself.
Questions answered? The body's waiting.
Book the next one
Same rules, new body. Every kit plays the same way, so a group that's solved one already knows how to play the next.
Poolside Au Naturel
The clothing-optional resort closes Monday. Three guests won't make it that far.
